Before You Apply
Burgess isn’t for everyone. We’re looking for team players who understand that schematics and budgets are just the beginning of the process. Real construction management requires time in the field getting your hands dirty, communicating often and effectively, and knowing when not to back down during a negotiation. You must have superior writing and communication skills and be able to mediate discussions between different groups of professionals with opposing needs. The construction business isn’t easy. There is a lot of money in play, and there are a lot of egos with competing goals you have to navigate. But there’s nothing like the satisfaction of seeing a building completed that you worked on.
