Burgess Services was the on-site construction manager for the mechanical installation for the overall project. Burgess Services was the overall quality assurance/quality control manager of project with an emphasis on mechanical, electrical and plumbing, and a member of the general contractors’ commissioning team. As part of the overall quality assurance/quality control manager on the project, Burgess Services’ personnel was tasked with working with governmental agencies, including fire department and building city inspectors to ensure building construction and operations were up to their expectations. Work also included the design and installation of a specially built air handling unit with a humidifier to accommodate a “traveling” exhibit where different artifacts were stored from across the country. This ensured that the artifacts were not ruined due to the high altitude in Colorado.
