We know that minority- and women-owned businesses face unique challenges that make it more difficult to start and thrive under our current economic outlook. We have created an access program specifically for minority- and women-owned entrepreneurs and early-stage companies to increase their chances of long-term sustainability and growth. Our program provides access to a network of construction business owners and experienced business professionals that have knowledge about every aspect of owning a business from getting started to operations, finding capital to succession planning and more.
Access
Many construction projects are requiring a 3-12% in minority business participation. We can assist in you meeting that goal.
For MWBEs
Certifications
We will ensure that you begin and finish the MWBE certification process. This certification gets your foot in the door for many public contracts and bids.
Access to Trainings
Our network of professionals and business owners have many free and low cost trainings that will be discounted and/or openly available to our mentees. Take advantage of the knowledge that will be gained!
Partnerships
Long term partnerships and long term gain is the focus for our MWBEs.
Entrepreneurs
We are seeking MBWE businesses that:
Have the enthusiasm and readiness to take their business to the next level.
Commit to meeting with their mentor(s) or partners at least 2 hours per month.
Commit to participation in the mentoring program for at least 6 months.
Commit to reporting progress and milestones on a bi-monthly basis.
Have a fully developed business idea, a workable business plan or are currently operational.
